The Casual Vacancy

The day is finally here! Rowling’s new book is finally released.

Now, I know that it won’t be another Harry Potter, and I know it won’t be as big a part of my life, but I can’t wait to read it. Besides loving the stories in HP, I love her character descriptions and her entire way of writing. It has always fascinated me that she can write so complicated, yet it easy to understand and always fluent.

I really hope the local book store actually sells it. You can never be entirely sure when you live in Sweden and want a book in English…

No impulse control whatsoever…

So, I caved in and ordered Sakura Miku earlier today. At least I managed to stop myself from ordering the yukata version as well.

A few days ago, my Snow Miku arrived. After I unpacked her, I took a couple of pics of her with my phone. She’s really cute!

Another Miku's Home!

Currently, two out of my three Nendoroids are Hatsune Miku, and soon I’ll have a third.

I want my mail!

At the moment I’m waiting for two packages, containing three dolls.

One of them was shipped out a few days ago and I can’t wait for it to come here. It’s my Snow Hatsune Miku Fluffy Coat Version that’s on her way.

I’m really looking forward to taking photos of her with my Miku Append. I think they will look very cute together.

I’m also considering getting yet another Miku. This time it’s the Sakura Miku that was announced recently that’s caught my eye. I think she’s just lovely with her pink hair and flowers!

She’s not released til next year, so I’ll have time to save up for her if I decide to buy her. I need to order her within a few days though, as pre-orders soon closes. What should I do?

A Maiden’s Sword!

I’ve loved Rozen Maiden since I first saw it about… Oh, five or six years ago? So, naturally, I’m rather fond of my Rozen Pullips.

My Suiseiseki was bought on a whim because she was cheap and I was new to the hobby. Can’t really say I’ve regretted it though. :P

Suigintou on the other hand was a doll I was very eager about owning. She was my favourite character in the show (still is!) and I thought the Pullip was gorgeous. Fortunately, a member on a pullip forum had her up for sale, and I got her at a very reasonable price.

I’ve been very bad at giving them any attention during the time I’ve had them, but I hope I can snap a few pictures of them occasionally from now on. This is the first step!

Enemy of the Rozen

She might need a new wig soon, as this is starting to get very frizzy and dry. The problem is, I think this one suits her really well, so I’m a bit hesitant. I guess I’ll have to wait and see. Maybe I can fix it with a bit of conditioner.

I’d almost forgot how much I love my dollies!

Sci-fi galore!

I watched Asylum of the Daleks a couple of hour ago, and I must voice my approval. It was a great episode even though it was rather predictable. The basic plot was very easy to figure out, but the little bit at the end was a surprise. I thought it looked great as well, with a nice steampunky style to it. Obviously it’s always better when you watch it in high definition as I did, but I think the art department has done a tremendous job!
I’m embarrassingly excited about the new season, and can’t wait for the next episode. I mean… Dinosaurs! On a spaceship!

In other news.

A little over a week ago I ordered season one of Stargate SG-1. I’ve watched the show twice on tv already, but I got it really cheap, so I couldn’t resist. We’ve seen roughly two thirds already and today I won season two on a swedish auction site. Just need to send the payment and it should start its way home to me.

I also bid on season two and three of Star Trek: TOS. I already have season one, but that particular box release haven’t been made in a long time. So, now I’ll finally get the entire set, and they’ll look good together.

And, just to top it off, as I’m writing this, I’m watching Terra Nova.

Love Science Fiction!
